Nice spot wonder if it is true? Good way to keep up the value of the certification.

I think that is an acceptable way to better understand the skill level of a candidate. I would imagine questions like “at this point in the lab, you did x, can you tell me why”. My fear is that it would be hard to keep this type of evaluation fair and even. However, it could be used as a factor when considering whether or not to give credit for one of the requirements.

@Paul I agree that it could help to clarify why certain options were taken but that would require some sort of grading prior to completion of the lab. I can’t imagine it would add much more value to the certification. You can either configure to their requirements or you cant. (and at this point in time I can’t :) ). Regardless, I dont know how an interview could be kept completely fair. I suppose we will have to wait and see if this message is even real, then take it from there.

Good point about how to keep it fair. I agree with the fact that either a prospect can or cannot configure it. I just know that some people go about things differently. I think the interview could lend insight into that. I guess that’s not necessarily a scoring factor though and certainly not one that can be kept fair as you pointed out.
