I'm currently studying for my CCNP, I will sit the first exam (BSCI) in about a month's time. I hope to get through CCNP by mid year, or just after and then dive straight on in to CCVP. I work in an enterprise environment and these are the skills they're after. I've thought about getting my CCDA done between CCNP and CCVP, since 1 of the exam counts towards it.
